Core 2 Duo E8400 undervolting
hi,
someone knows how to change(reduce) the voltage for the CPU (e8400) ? I have set Vcore at 1.1V in the bios. CPU-Z shows me but now that I've supposedly 1.072V. It does not matter whether at the EIST CPU with 2GHz or 3GHz.Why is the voltage of EIST no longer automatically regulated? Do this for example in the Bios are set to AUTO?

Yes, some boards like... Gigabyte to take the [normal] to.
Re: Core 2 Duo E8400 undervolting
hi,
The voltage may depend on the frequency being activated and the frequency quite flexibly to provide system load, which should bring a lot more than BIOS.
Re: Core 2 Duo E8400 undervolting
Is there a minimum 1.1 volts to choose. This is the CPU but the CPU-Z in the standard (1104V). On my Old XPC with Athlon core, everything I could quite easily in the BIOS settings. The incidentally ran with 1,55 V instead of 1.65 V

Generally, fewer undervolt requiremnet from Core Duo vs. Turion. Because most BIOS and Motherboard maker handle Core Duo pretty well so you won't get so much gain in term of battery life.
