Re: DDR3 PC-16000 2000mhz
To use @ 1000MHz cas8, you must mount the FSB @ 500.
Thus, a QuadCore with 500 FSB stable in H24, plus a motherboard that supports 1000MHz
You should make the turn at lower frequencies with a smaller case for example.
For overclock and not H24, yes its working very well.
Re: DDR3 PC-16000 2000mhz
Indeed, 500 fsb it is a lot and it's good for the H24 with a good air cooling. In these conditions 2000 MHz RAM has to be under exploited. In after what I have read, the QX9770 suport a little over 460 FSB, is variable and after the motherboard also has a role to play. In these circumstances it would be wiser to rely on the PC 14400?
Re: DDR3 PC-16000 2000mhz
The PC16000 costs more expensive, but you can take the PC14400, yes.
PC16000 OCZ Rs. 9750 approx.
PC14400 Rs. 9100 approx.
Then you can even take the PC12800
Re: DDR3 PC-16000 2000mhz
For the same price you should be able to mount a config Core i7,
There is a reason to stay in socket 775?
I tested the PC16000 which was based on D9GTR chip (micron), it worked a lot and it was among the least expensive, 1000MHz to keep in x48 it will take a lot of volts or a card with nvidia chipset.
