AIEEE 2009 Notification and Exam Schedule
The eighth All India Engineering Entrance Examination for admissions in B.E./B.Tech. and B.Arch./B. Planning in various national level institutes like NITs, IITs, Deemed Universities and government funded institutions and States like Haryana and Uttaranchal will be held on 26th April, 2009 all over India and abroad. This examination will be held in two parts viz B.E./B.Tech from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and for B.Arch./B. Planning from 1400 hrs to 1700 hrs.
Scheme of Examination
Candidate opting for degree courses in Engineering/Architecture would be required to undertake test as per schedule of examination.

Eligibility
Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary – Class XII) examination or its equivalent referred to as a qualifying examination from a recognized Board/University for admission to B.E./B.Tech., B.Arch. & B. Planning Courses as under.
The Candidates appearing in 10+2 (Class-XII) final or equivalent examination in 2009 may also appear in AIEEE provisionally, subject to their fulfilling the specified eligibility criteria at the time of appearing for counselling.
The number of attempts, which a candidate can avail at All India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination, shall be limited to 03 (three) uniformly for all the candidates in consecutive years. Hence, the candidates passed +2 Exam in 2007,2008 or appearing in +2 in 2009 are only eligible to appear in AIEEE-2009. Candidates passed +2 in 2006 or before or appearing in 2010 are not eligible to appear in AIEEE 2009.

Date of Birth
Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01,1984 are eligible. However in case of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Physically Challenged candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by five years meaning thereby candidates born on or after October 01,1979 are eligible.
Rules Of Reservation
Reservation for SC/ST and Physically Handicapped candidates will be applicable as per Govt. of India/State concerned existing rules or amended from time to time. However,reservation for OBC candidates,if any,would be communicated through newspaper/advertisement/AIEEE website as and when Government orders for the same are issued.
