How to create a Keyboard Shortcut to Open Folder

Hello friends,

I have heard from my friends that we can create a keyboard shortcut to open a folder.I don't have any idea how to do it and also tried a lot to find it over internet but it was of no use.

Can anyone tell me what steps i need to follow for it.

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8 Ghz
G31 Asrock Motherboard with Intel chipset
1gb RAM
GeForce FX 5200
200gb HDD

Sure i will help you out with this try to follow the below steps:-

1. Click on Start.
   
2. Goto Programs , then Accessories, and then click Windows Explorer.
   
3. In Windows Explorer, right-click on the folder to which you want instant access, click Send To, and then click Desktop.
   
4. On your desktop, right-click the new shortcut, and then click Properties.
   
5. On the Shortcut tab, click in the Shortcut key box. Now press the letter on your keyboard that you want to use to open the folder.(Microsoft Windows XP automatically adds CTRL+ALT before the key you press)
   
6. Now click on OK.
   
7. Now Hold down the CTRL and ALT keys, and then press the letter you chose.
