Re: Creation of a database in OOo
Hello , You try to add records to a 3rd-party database. There is no "Base-database" at all. Base is just a frontend tool to access databases with an additional capabillity to wrap a whole hsqldb.org into a single file.At the moment Microsoft is the only institution able to develop fully functional drivers for it's JET database engine. We can be very shure that hell freezes over before they will publish anything functional for Linux. The reverse-engineering of free Linux drivers stopped in a phase where they tried to provide write-access. The driver was able to destroy your database completely.I wonder how you get read-only access to your Access-db. I would be happy if I could do the same trick with my some of my old databases.
