choosing which monitor displays a program at startup
I am running windows vista with dual monitor setup. Everything is working fine without any problem. I just came here to get a bit info. Is it possible that we can set any of our monitor to display a program at startup? For example if I put any program’s icon in the startup folder, can I set it to by default open that program on my primary or secondary monitor ? If yes, please let me know how?
Thank you.
Re: choosing which monitor displays a program at startup
Am not sure about this but I guess if your dual monitor setup was provided by video driver then possibly there should be any option under driver utilities. And that should be accessible under normal circumstances from an icon set on the task bar. But I will recommend you not to do this because when you set any startup program for Auto Start, it causes various problem such as startup delay, it may not function properly and many such things.

As far as secondary monitor is concerned, it is just an extended display, right? Also afaik not every program but most of the programs will open in the same monitor where it was used last time. So what you need to do is just launch any program and drag it to the second monitor. Once it is on second monitor, close it right there. And next time when you will open the same program, it will open on the second monitor itself where it was closed.
