Windows 7 boot logo changed !
Hi,
I'm using windows 7 beta build 7000. It worked perfect for 2 weeks but now it starts showing the old Vista styled boot screen which contains only a green progress bar with black background not boot screen which shows animated balls that come together to form Windows logo. is there anyway i can make it fix? I don't like this vista style boot logo.
Thanks for any help.
Re: Windows 7 boot logo changed !
Try the following solution, see if it works
- Login in Windows 7 as a administrator and type the following command in command prompt
Quote:
bcdedit /set {current} locale en-US
- Exit Command Prompt and restart your system. And here you have done. Now the problem should be fixed.
Note: The above command is for English version of Windows, if you are using some other language version, then change "en-US" to your own locale, such as ja-JP, de-DE, es-ES, pt-BR, zh-CN, zh-TW, fr-FR, fi-FI and etc.
Re: Windows 7 boot logo changed !
This happens with all and happened with me as also. Its because the Windows 7 Recover options don't have the new boot logo installed on it, it is still using the vista one. This is the beta version that's why this type of things are nirmal to be happen. This bug will get surly fixed in RC1 version.
Re: Windows 7 boot logo changed !
Yeah this invalid and wrong boot screen for Windows 7 is due to missing locale entry in boot record, which failed to be set when editing or rebuilding the BCD. When locale is not found, Windows boot loader does not know which boot locale folder to look for the animated bootscreen. And it gets change to Vista boot logo.
Re: Windows 7 boot logo changed !
if 7 reverts to vista bootscreen after being tinkered with can you replace the vista boot screen with your own and get a custom boot screen?
