Network Map Unable to remember Login Info in Windows Vista
My mapped network drives do not remember logon info. I have even 10 might be given the username and password to remember for the next time but Whenever Vista starts the drives are not mapped. If I click on the drive I am presented a screen for logon info but it is blank. If I enter the info it works until the next reboot so it becomes very tardy everytime to put the same credential.
Thanks to those who help....
Re: Network Map Unable to remember Login Info in Windows Vista
Anyhow a solution to this problem is as follows (works in Vista):
- map the networks driver of your desire -as usual- by right-clicking on ‘my computer’ etc.
- create an “.bat” file with the following content:
net use \\<ip-address> <password> /user:<username>
For instance: net use \\192.168.1.11 mypassword /user:usern_name - place that ‘.bat’ file in the start-up directory of Windows, and that’s all !
