How do i display network icon on taskbar?
On my laptop, I want to display the Icon for the Local Area Network on the Taskbar, but can't seem to figure out how in Vista (In XP, in properties for the LAN, there is an option to display the icon on the taskbar. I do not see that option in Vista's LAN properties. Second, the wireless network icon is displayed on the Taskbar. I do not use wireless and would prefer to not display that icon on the Taskbar. How can i shut that off without completely disabling the wireless network (might use it in the future)??
Thanks

Thats quite easy, just follow the instructions :
- Right click on the Taskbar and click on Properties.
- Click on the Notification Area tab.
- Check to Show or uncheck to Hide the options you want or do not want to show on the Taskbar Notification Area.
- Check the Network check box.
- You are done!
Easy Right?

Re: How do i display network icon on taskbar?
Hey thanks, but i have one more question. I wan't the computers to blink [of the network icon]. They are still and i cannot guess if any network activity is goin on or not. The blinking helps me to check whether all the sharing is done. [we have a network of friend and we share a lot of data].
Thanks
