Entire folder disappeared
hi,
i have windows Vista on laptop pre-installed. I shared a folder and also charged the attributes and now the folder had disappeared. Now I can't see or find the folder.the system-created folders such as documents, videos, are visible but not the ones. Is there a way to bring it back. I think changing the attribute caused it.i also restored my system and got nothing. What has happened and what is the solution? Can anyone help!!!
Re: Entire folder disappeared
To see hidden files and folder :
1.On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options.
2.Click the View tab.
3.Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folder
Re: Entire folder disappeared
If the above solution dose right click on the folder select properties and the you should be presented with a new dialog box, make sure that you unselect "Hidden" near the bottom of the dialog. When this happens it will ask if you want to "Apply changes to all files and subfolders and files" or to "Apply changes to this folder only", select "Apply changes to this folder only", and press ok, that will unhide the folder.
Re: Entire folder disappeared
Check recycle bin? Seriously, you may have accidentally deleted it.typically what happens when you try to "double click" on a folder, what they actually do is "click, move the mouse and then click", thus dragging the folder onto the nearest folder and dropping it into that folder. Try doing a search for the folder name.
