Hello Everybody,
I would like to change the log on screen, i have installed Windows Xp on my system. I would like to do it manually, can any one tell me how can i do so? Would appreciated your help.

Actually is very simple, just follow the below steps.
1. Go to download your favourite Logon Screen. (make sure the file extension is EXE)
2. Open Regedit
3. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Winlogon
4. Inside this directory, look for uihost
5. Modify the value of uihost to the location that point to your downloaded/created logon screen (e.g. C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\logon\mylogon.exe)
6. Done. Ctrl+L to view your new logon screen.
7. If you wish to change back to default Windows XP logon screen, just modify uihost value back to logonui.exe.
Note: Please use your registry tool wisely else it will corrupt your machine.Enjoy your new logon screen!:thumbup1:
To manually change the logon screen saver you need to do the following:
Run "Regedit.exe". Navigate to HKEY_USERS\.Default\Control Panel\Desktop and change the following values:
SCRNSAVE.EXE - change from logon.scr to any other screen saver that has the .SCR extension and is located in the %systemroot%\System32 folder.
Hope so it may help you out.:thumbup1:
