Problem with Wireless Router Connectivity
hi there.......
A major problem I am having about router connectivity. I have tried 4 wireless routers regarding the problem but all are responding in a similar fashion. These all routers are from different companies. Belkin, D-link, Netgear and Linksys are the name of the router brands. the devices gets fully set up, then they provide connection, and after 20 seconds or so, they get disconnect. I also tried to Unplug the wireless router and Plug back in, and again I get another 20 seconds of connection.
Please help me regarding this problem...........

Re: Problem with Wireless Router Connectivity
try using Dynamic Address:
Dynamic IP addresses are most frequently assigned on LANs and broadband networks by Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) servers. They are used because it avoids the administrative burden of assigning specific static addresses to each device on a network. It also allows many devices to share limited address space on a network if only some of them will be online at a particular time. In most current desktop operating systems, dynamic IP configuration is enabled by default so that a user does not need to manually enter any settings to connect to a network with a DHCP server. DHCP is not the only technology used to assigning dynamic IP addresses. Dialup and some broadband networks use dynamic address features of the Point-to-Point Protocol.

Re: Problem with Wireless Router Connectivity
You may be getting Phone signal interfereance. Make sure you have a Microfilter.
A microfilter is a small device that plugs into your normal BT telephone socket and splits the line into both a standard BT telephone socket and a ADSL broadband socket.
You must have one microfilter connected to each BT socket, that has any device connected to it, on the line the ADSL service is enabled for even if you will not connect the ADSL modem / router to that socket.
The microfilter must be the first device plugged into the BT socket.
Failure to have a microfilter correctly installed on all BT socket you use may result in interference (buzzing noises etc.) on your telephone and / or reduced performance and possible loss of service on your broadband access.
If you have a burglar alarm that uses the telephone line it is important not to forget this needs to be connected through a microfilter. We also strongly recommend that you check the correct operation of your burglar alarm after installation of a broadband service on your telephone line.

Router connectivity test
Do this test and you know if it is router problem or not.
Run tracert command.
Start
Run
Type: tracert www.skype.com
Ok
Is this test causing a connectivity loss?
If it does, it is a router problem.
Solution is to upgrade router firmware or replace it with different brand
And this
Dropped calls WiFi
I have a US Robotics Router.
While looking through the router config settings in the config utility,
under "Access"/"Special App." I came across a setting for "PC-to-Phone" apps.
I enabled this and Skype now works perfectly across my wireless network.
According to the USR helpfile, so-called special application "need multiple connections that are inhibited by NAT
