Re: Viewsonic VX2260wm
Design
ViewSonic 22in VX2260wm aiming to appeal to both workers who like to multitask and entertainment junkies. It's nicely designed as well. A thin bezel around the screen means that it appears slimline and compact And the styling is certainly a good start: it's sleek and shiny, with a bulbous, good supportive base and a curved rear ensuring it stands out well. The sleek finish unfortunately helps to camouflage the control buttons on the front, making adjustments a little awkward, also there is hardly noticeable, diffuse, backlight breaching along upper and lower edge of panel. Consistency of black on the rest of the panel is very good.
Display and more
With its 1920 x 1080 pixels, the VX2260wm display 17% more data than conventional 22-inch screen. Ideal for last-generation consoles for HD movies, too. It also displays more data in both height and (especially) in width on a screen classic. Disadvantages is 17% more data is 17% more work for the graphics card in the PC games, which are less fluid than a 22 inches. This definition increased without the diagonal can also grow greater finesse of carcatères. A Full HD screen writing smaller than a 22-inch 1680 x 1050 pixels.
Minor colour issues aside, it performed well in our tests. Gradients were perfectly smooth and well distributed across the whole spectrum, while the 400cd/m2 backlight is impressively bright and even. We noticed a small amount of bleed at the top edge, but otherwise it coasted through our technical tests with plenty of detail and clear definition. It handles lower resolution video well and, when you consider that you'll be sitting a few feet back at least to enjoy a good film,With HDMI, of course, comes HDCP and hence support for playback of protected content including Blu-ray movies. This Viewsonic, therefore, is that little bit more flexible.
Viewsonic realize, as the VX2262wm, a monitor with a good response which, for once, comes with a delay of less than one display image. If your graphics card is recent, or if you want to connect the screen to type a console PS3 or Xbox 360, it will be good screen but not the best.
Manual image adjust even lets you tinker with horizontal/vertical image size and position, as well as fine tune sharpness, dynamic contrast, and aspect ratio. In addition, it has a separate mode setting to enable dynamic contrast. You can select the response time from three different settings on the OSD: Standard, Advanced, and Ultra Fast. You must go through the OSD to push the Overdrive (Response Time function) to the maximum, ie in "Ultra Fast."
Chip fault correction chart, all the defects of the source is inevitably reflected in the display. This will pose few problems due to contrast if you have a good Blu-ray player , or a PlayStation 3 or for the playback of DVD, DivX or from a PC.
Color
The color appears to be the black VX2260wm. With an average gap between the color requested by the graphics card and displayed by the monitor to 4.1 by default (where one expects a score below 3) are hardly accurate color. Decreased the brightness to 80 to reduce the gap slightly.
