Problem with Win XP on the HP Pavilion dv 6500
I bought the HP Pavilion dv 6500 with Vista and I can not install Windows XP on laptop. With the installation plate loading system files to RAM but the installation stops and displays a message about the lack of hard disk. Phoenix Bios very poor in options, there is no switch on the SATA HD or something else. Please help.

Check the first side to determine the availability of drivers for this model notebook into the operating system Windows XP, so if you must download the latest bios to Win XP, the installer can see the hard disk.

This measure is a new series laptops (with the new BIOS). I have bios version F.22. I think that this is not the wine BIOS, because at other forums that laptop owners do not have a problem with the installation of XP. Therefore, I am helpless.
