Patch uxtheme.dll in Windows 7 to install Custom / MSStyles Themes
In Windows XP and Vista you can install custom or MSStyles themes by patching Uxtheme.dll by UxTheme Patcher for Vista SP1 (64-bit version) and XP SP2.
How to Patch Uxtheme.dll in Windows 7
- Download the patched UxTheme.dll and other files from here or (for 64-bit)and extract the zip them some where on your computer
- This patch removes the aforementioned checks to provide the Microsoft Windows enthusiast community a free and easy way to enable third-party customization of the entire Microsoft Windows user interface.
- UxTheme Patch for Windows 7 contains 3 DLL files that you can easily unrar and use.
- Login to Your Windows 7 with User having administrator privileges
- Now navigate to C:/windows/system32 Directory
- Now copy following three files to some your personal folder as a backup.
- uxtheme.dll
- themeui.dll
- shsvcs.dll
- Now copy the Downloaded files to C:/windows/system32 Directory and take full ownership of each files from properties.
- Now restart your system.
Now you are free to use any custom or MSStyles theme in windows 7. :thumbup1:

Is it possible on genuine Windows 7? when windows 7 releases its retail version and if we patch the file, will it still be genuine? or we will loose the owership of our own windows copy?
