Memtest gives 150000 errors with memory
I think having problems with my memory (2 x 512MB PC3200 Kingston) and suddenly, I downloaded UltimateBootCD with a bunch of utilities including Memtest.
So I run the tests and I see errors. Having 2 bars and not knowing which is objected to, I tested one by one: no error!
I re-install the 2 bars at the same time and I run the test: 150000 errors!
Someone would have an explanation?
Re: Memtest gives 150000 errors with memory
Error of motherboard or chipset (which is the same)
Updated your bios or recommended changes in the Rams (voltage, timing), verification of contacts RAM slots on the motherboard, change of slots
Re: Memtest gives 150000 errors with memory
Testing with 2 strips and getting errors. It shouldn't happen ideally. I think it comes from the fact that it was not exactly identical (MHz), may be something as a PC3200 and PC2700.
Try to test each strips one by one.
Re: Memtest gives 150000 errors with memory
It can not come from that, the motherboard will hold after the SPD on memory as "weak"
If you put a 2700 and 3200, it will match the 2700 with the other one and will result the timings of the lowest spd.

Thank you for your responses.
For info, 2 strips are exactly the same (same ref anyway): Kingston KVR400X64C3A/512 for both.
Re: Memtest gives 150000 errors with memory
Install your ram slots in 1 & 2 in the right order. RAM installed in DIMM slot 1 & 2 is the only way to stay in DDR400. If you use 3 bars, or just 2 bars in slots 2 & 3 you goes limp, ie maximum DDR333 and at worst .... DDR200.
