Network Protocol is not Standard
Hello everyone,
someone could show me documents, papers, source code or anything else affecting the design and / or the architecture of network protocols are not standard?
In particular, I want to study (and understand how to design) protocols for simple applications, client / server or p2p. (so no RFC type FTP and the like, I would be comfortable in their design of the program).
Regards,
Re: Network Protocol is not Standard
I really in such situations usually use RMI and I always put the soul in peace
In general do not understand why people have problems with sockets and data in binary format when there's RMI, I can understand it right for a program of VOIP or video conferencing, which must be very high performance in terms of networking (even in that If you often do not even use TCP UDP directly but that under certain conditions also allows the hole firewalls).
and if I am not planning in Java then use the technology equivalent of Remoting for. NET, DCOM, or otherwise for C + +.
Re: Network Protocol is not Standard
thanks for your answer, since I have given explanations on your point of view!
But there is one: I do not have any intention is slamming on the socket, but I have to if I want to learn something that goes a little further beyond the software that I calculate the square root.
In fact I can not take the step from planning to design the basic software a little more complex, including the application of design patterns, and (in this case) protocols "meant well".

No one knows anything tell me that I might be useful?
