Windows update - missing installation package PRO11.MSI
My computer is setup to do automatic Windows Updates daily. The most recent
update stopped and I got a pop-up saying the following:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~...
Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003
The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is
unavailable.
Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the
installation package 'PRO11.MSI' in the box below.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~...
Can anyone help me figure out how to fix this issue? And possibly why it's
occuring? I clicked OK to try again and the same error continues to pop up.
Thanks.

Re: Windows update - missing installation package PRO11.MSI
You can try to rename the Edb.log gile and then try to install the program again. Simply click on Start and then in Run type CMD and press Enter. After that you need to type the below command in the command prompt and press Enter:
ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2\Edb.log *.tst
Re: Windows update - missing installation package PRO11.MSI
I have checked the network server option solution but that didnt work for me. Like many others I am having this issue on a personal computer and am trying to get the Windows updates running in Windows XP. There is only the problem of office update that is provided at the regular Windows Update and I am always getting this error message "cannot locate the office file PRO11.MSI". Does anyone have any solution for this issue? Thanks
