Why is my home page is being changed automatically?
Hi,
I have noticed a wired thing happening with my system for last couple of days.
The home page gets automatically changed to some search site.
I have tried to make google.com as my default home page through internet options in internet explorer but the problem not solved.
Everytime I reboot my system the homepage is changed. Do anyone here noticed this kind of problem ever before?
Re: Why is my home page is being changed automatically?
well it seems like a spyware has run into your pc and changed your defualt internet page settings just try to uninstall the program from add remove serivce and then install a good spyware removal software such as Adaware and try removing all the registry entries and change you internet page settings to default. this should do the trick.

IE version?
Windows version?
It might be a security program blocking the Registry change it needs to
make. A few, but not all, of the programs now doing this are:
Ad-aware's Ad-Watch
IBM Access Connections
McAfee VirusScan and/or Antispyware
Norton AV
Spyware Blaster
Spybot> Tools> IE Tweaks
Spybot- Teatimer
Spysweeper
Spyware Doctor
Windows Defender
Zone Alarm (free) 6.5 Reported to be fixed in later versions.
In the case of Zone Alarm 6.5 or Norton 2007 it actually has to be
uninstalled. Make sure the Windows Firewall is turned on until you
reinstall Zone Alarm.
Boot into Safe Mode with Networking and try the change.

You've got spyware changing it. Go to http://download.com and download adaware.
Make sure you update the spyware bases before you run it. After you run it, you should be set. I usually have mine do a quick scan of my registry on every login. Saves time and effort. Hope this helps!
