Change the default fan speed of your Graphics Card
Hello everyone,
Here it is with great pleasure that I just tell you how to change the speed of your GPU fan. For me it is an Asus 9800GX2 why the fan is running at 45% of origin, which gives me a temperature of 60 ° IDLE for both cores.
So I found a way through RivaTuner 2.08 without creating profile, change the default value for the fan is running at the desired speed at the start of Windows.
I also specifies that the speed does not remain stuck on the value chosen, but did increase as the temperature rise.
Explanation:
- Basic parameters regulations are read-only, go to the "Power User" and put the 3 line AutoFanSpeedControl in Rivatuner / Fan to allow changes in settings.
- Then go to the first "Customize" and click the small icon in the graphics card (1st icon)
- Then check "Enable low-level fan control" and enable "Auto"
- You can then change the speed of your fan by default, do not forget to activate the "Windows Startup" so that the changes take into account the next time you start Windows without having to manually re-handling every time.
- For my 9800GX2, I have my settings so that my ears do not suffer from noise ill:
- Duty Cycle min: 55 (% of the fan speed mini) - rather than my original 45%
- Duty Cycle max: 100 (% of maximum speed of the fan)
- Tmin: 65 (temperature at which the fan begins to accelerate beyond the speed mini)
- T Range: 32 (Tmin + Trange corresponds roughly to the temperature or the fan will speed% Max)
- With this setup, the fan remains at 50% of its idle speed and goes up to 65-70% in charge while maintaining a maximum temperature of about 75 ° C.
PS: I did not find it alone, I've found after much research on the net in various forums, but it is with great pleasure that I can share.
Good luck :thumbup1:
