Windows Explorer is opening multiple explorer

There is some problem with my windows XP Windows Explorer, Earlier I use the same CD to install windows XP and it works fine but now there is a problem, I have installed XP again and again and after installing whenever I am opening My Computer it is opening, but when I tried to open any Drives(C:, D:, E:, F:, all the partitions of my HD) it is opening "open with" window and When I browse to explorer it is opening but the option "use this program as default" is greyed out, so every time I have to browse till explorer and then open Drives.
I have used Disk Heal Software and it have resolved this issue, but now when I open any Drive or folder, it is opening in a new window, so lots of windows explorer and opening if I have to open many folders, I have checked all the options in Folder Options and Registry, What to do now, I cannot full format the Hard Disk as There are lot of Imp Data in My laptop.

To resolve your problem with having multiple Windows Explorer , try the following steps :

1. Click the START button.
2. Select Programs.
3. Click Windows Explorer.
4. Open the View menu.
5. Click Options.
6. Click the File Types tab.
7. Under Registered file types, click on Folder and click the Edit button.
8. From the Actions list, click Explore.
9. Click the Set Default button.
10. Then click on Close (the X at the top right of the window).

Quick fix
Click Start, Run and type this command:

regsvr32 /i shell32.dll

Click OK

Manual registry fix
To fix the problem manually, open Registry Editor and navigate to:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ Directory \ shell

-and-

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ Drive \ shell

In the right-pane, locate and click the (Default) value
Click Modify on the Edit menu
Type the word none in the Value data box, and then click OK
Exit Registry Editor.
