Shuttle unveils the D 1416S Mini PC
Shuttle today unveiled its first product in a new category called "Special Solutions". As its name suggests, is to use the Mini-PC manufacturer in special conditions. The Shuttle D 1416 submitted today is for the video. It supports up to 16 cameras! This solution is based barebone D10, which has a reminder LCD touch screen 7 "800 x 480 pixels on its front. It is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 CPU and 1 GB of DDR2.
The cameras are connected to both a VGA input PCIe x1 equipped with 4 chips Techwell 6805. A special software, the Shuttle SecurityCenter is provided and can manage the whole. The video obtained can be stored on the hard drive 500 GB (MPEG-4), burned to DVD, copied to USB key, or via its Gigabit Ethernet port. There is choice! An external monitor (not included) can naturally be connected to the VGA port Intel GMA 3100 and therefore could be used like any other Mini-PC if the need arises.
According to its maker, the D 1416S has a recommended price tag of 898 Euro($ 1392 approx.) without taxes.

I think using adapters on both DB-15 connectors, you get 8 inputs composite video inputs and 16 BNC, you can use to connect up to 16 cameras. wooo
