Mouse no longer recognized in Vista
During the last use of my computer, the mouse was recognized, and the screen was paused. I have disconnected and reconnected, there is nothing. I turn on the PC, turn the fan, and nothing, the monitor turns off with my mouse does not work. However it works on another PC. How? The reset button does nothing either. Thank you for your responses.
Re: Mouse no longer recognized in Vista
Are you having the USB mouse? Just check if the BIOS is configured accordingly. Also see if it is a problem limited to the mouse or extended further.
Re: Mouse no longer recognized in Vista
I think this is not a mouse rather than a hardware problem! Test another USB controller, or with a mouse in PS2.
Re: Mouse no longer recognized in Vista
I tried removing the graphics card and removing the battery from the motherboard (waited 10 minutes before replacing), I reconnected everything. Always the same, screen saver, the fan wheel, the mouse does not work. I tried all the USB ports, still nothing. I expect to get a new Vista-compatible mouse very soon, I will see what is happening.
Re: Mouse no longer recognized in Vista
Could be the problem of PSU. Does the screen gets weird or anything (BIOS boot sequence...). Have you overclocked? Have you tested the Ram? Did you saw if the hard disk is well connected? Try a different outlet for your video monitor on the graphics card?
Re: Mouse no longer recognized in Vista
I have not overclocked at all, my screen stays black (standby) at the start, my screen is LG 22 inches. It works with another computer in VGA mode, but not plugged in DVI. I see nothing BIOS, my screen is always on standby so black.
I bought a new Vista-compatible mouse and it works now!
