China Digital camera
If you see me make a post today is that I really need you . I find myself in an impasse is a friend who sells a digital camera (made in china) the problem is not that,, is that on the left it indicates that 12 megapixel but smoothing the book is Write: Image sensor: 1/2.5''CMOS sensor but 5.1 mega pixel resolution and the (4032x3024, 2592x1944, 1600x1200, 1280x960 , 640x480).
And what's Resolution time it is written in here as megapixel !

Re: China Digital camera
Hello,
The resolution is the increasing number of pixels wide by the number of pixels in height.
In your case, the image can reach 4032 x 3024, giving 12192768 Pixels is 12.192768 Megapixels
The trade figure is rounded up to 12 megapixels to make easier.
After it is possible that this image of 4032 x 3024 is obtained by interpolation on this camera, in which case, the sensor does by 12MPixels, but less, and it is a computer inside the camera which loads of new items for a photo impression largest to the higher resolution. I do not think this technique is still in force and in any case, it gave a poor result.
