It's not really related ...
A port PCI-E x16 is wired (or powered, if we want to popularize a bit) in x16, meaning it will provide maximum bandwidth that the standard can offer. The standard PCI-E 2.0 provides just two times more bandwidth than the standard 1.0
is a change in standard
but the PCi Express 16 is either 1 or 2
16 PCI Express 2.0 bandwidth a bit faster
You just put a graphics card PCI E 16 2.0 on a motherboard pcie 16 1.0 without problem
you to find a PCI Express graphics 16x in 2.0
PCI Express graphics 16x in 1.0
and frankly its not much has changed me you ais SLI configuration and even ....
you can connected a pci-e x16 on a port in football 16x in 2.0 and 1.0
bandwidth is not "quick" as you say: p bandwidth is wide.
PCI Express architecture is based on "lines".
it affects about 1, 2, 4, 8 or 16 lines in general, a port PCI Express, and it is called PCI Express 1X, etc..
dans la norme initianle, le pci express 1.X, on a 250 Mo/s de débit par ligne PCI Express 1.X, on a 250 Mb / s throughput per line affected.
PCI Express 2.0, on a 500 Mb / s throughput per line.
there you find the speed of each port;)
yes and to keep it simple for the person who does not know too the port 16X PCI 2.0 allows a flow of information more quickly
The main difference between a pci-e 1.1 and pci-e 2.0 is the bandwidth. Pci-e 2.0 is completely backwards compatible with earlier cards.
It depends on the card, but i think every pci-e 2.0 card out right now is backwards compatible. No video cards even use all the bandwidth of an x16 slot, pci-e 2.0 isn't necessary.
