Problem installing flash player 9 on Ubuntu
I am using Ubuntu on my computer. I visited a site yesterday which asked me to install flash player 9. I downloaded it from www.adobe.com. But when I try to run that file, system says that it can't run that file. I checked the file and it is .tar.gz file. How can I run this file? Any guesses!
Steps to install Flash Player 9 on Ubuntu
Here are the steps to install the downloaded .tar.gz file of flash player 9 on Ubuntu.
On command prompt, type
Code:
cd /home/folder_name/
Note: Here "/home/folder_name/" refers to the exact path of the file where you have saved the Flash Player 9 .tar.gz file.
Then extract the folder and run the setup file
Code:
tar xvfz install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz
cd install_flash_player_9_linux/
sudo ./flashplayer-installer
