KB91072 is an update from 2006 and also not for Vista. The KBs are now
in 6 digit format. Please provide the correct number.
You could try running this tool to see if it helps to get the updates
installed as the article cites error code 0x8007371B:

When the download completes close *all* open programs and browsers.
*Right* click Windows6.0-KB947821-v2-x64.msu, choose 'Run as

If that doesn't resolve the inconsistencies, suggest contacting MS for

Thanks for the prompt reply. I've got one of the KB numbers wrong, but the
rest are straight of the vista update page - see screen shoot:
http://www.conforums.com/dave/updates.jpg.
I'll check the readiness tool out and see if it resolves anything.
Again. thanks for the assistance.
Dave.
Re: Error codes: 8007371B and 80070490
You meant KB905866, not KB906866, and the full KB number of the other
update is KB951072, hence the confusion.
I'm curious to see if running the tool will resolve the inconsistentcies
and allow the updates to install, Dave. <fingerscrossed>

Re: Error codes: 8007371B and 80070490
The tool wouldn't install, it kept comign back with an error about not for
use with this platform. It turns out part of vista was corrupt. I ended up
re-installing the OS - not a full reinstall, just a repair.
All updates successfully installed then.
Thanks for your assistance.
Dave.
