Remove / Uninstall Norton Antivirus / Norton Internet Security

If the uninstall Norton Internet Security 2003, Norton Personal Firewall 2003, Norton Antivirus 2003 or earlier fails utility Add / Remove Programs, Symantec provides tools (RnisUPG.exe or Rnav2003.exe) to uninstall the software completely . (See below for later)

These utilities to delete all files and entries in the registry database installed by Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall, for 2003 and previous versions. These utilities run on all versions of Windows (Windows 98 to Windows XP).

1. Download the file to the following address:

For Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall:

ftp://ftp.symantec.com/misc/consumer/RnisUPG.exe

For Norton Antivirus:

ftp://ftp.symantec.com/misc/consumer/Rnav2003.exe

2. Double-click the file to execute it. Warning systems on Windows NT, Windows XP or Windows 2000 it will be necessary to connect under the administrator account.

3. If necessary, select the version of the product to delete and confirm by clicking on YES.

4. Restart the computer when the program proposes.

Attention, this procedure does not apply for 2004 and subsequent versions of Norton products!
