Creative ZEN X-Fi release in Asia and worldwide

Just arrived on the market in Asia and worldwide, here you are the Zen X-Fi from Creative. Our new PMP is available in 3 different flavor with either 8, 16 or 32GB, but only the 16 and 32GB ones will feature a Wireless Lan module.
Not only our little beast kinda looking good, but the X-Fi is also pretty small 83x55x12.8mm for just 68.75g and receive a 2.5” QVGA Screen.
Now obviously our X-Fi support MP3, WMA and AAC audio files but also WMV, MPEG-4 SP/XviD and motion Jpeg Video.
Finally like many PMP on the market the X-Fi has a FM Radio Tuner and a voice recorder.


One interesting tidbit was found when checking out the Wi-Fi section of the user guide. At the top it states: "This section applies to ZEN X-Fi players with wireless LAN features.". That seems to imply that there are some models that will not have WiFi built-in. Considering Creative is known for making multiple versions of the same player (e.g. Zen V and V Plus), this wouldn't be a surprise. In fact, that's likely the reason the player is named the ZEN X-Fi and not the Share, nor the WiFi.

The Creative ZEN X-Fi with Wireless LAN is available today in a 32GB model for S$399.00 and a 16GB model for S$329.00. The Creative ZEN X-Fi 8GB model which does not include the Wireless LAN function will be available later this month for S$229.00. The Creative TravelSound ZEN X-Fi Docking Speaker System will be available end September for S$79.00.
