PUK codes

i use nokia 1100
recently i was checking its menus and stumbled upon settings where u need -security code
-pin code
-pin2 code

i dont remember whether i keyed in any faulty nos.. but now its showing
" PIN2 CODE BLOCKED" end then asks for PUK2 CODE in some menus..

no prob for calling and sms...and my friends says dont play with those things..

just asking coz i dont want error messages in my cell!!

U need PIN2 code for some security settings like the call cost setings and etc.It gives u 3 chances to enter u r code correctly after which it locks the pin2 code.U need the puk2 code to reset the pin2 code.
The same applies for the PIN code.So don't screw with the PIN code.

For the puk2 code call u r operator's customer service no. and ask them for u r PUK2 code.Some operators charge for giving the code(Last i knew hutch charges 150 bucks or some thing for the code where as my bsnl gives it free.)

U need to give the code of u r sim card to the operator so keep the packaging of the card (or in case of BSNL the card has the code on it) ready.

Yeah...its better to stay away from these..PIN and PUK settings...if they get messed up...u and ur cell are in deep trouble

Hutch charges? I got my PUK code free of cost from them.. Id locked my fathers cell.

But thats a corporate accout.. So maybe thats why they gave me the PUK for free.

Hmmmm...they shuldnt charge...are u sure they just gave u the unlock codes...or did they reacticated ur sim card or smthing like that
