no hdd found message
hi!! i have western digital 500 gb hdd which is out of warranty now. It was running quite normal, but yesterday all of a sudden when i started my pc, a blue screen came and message appeared " Disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter" . i restarted again and the same message appeared. So i tried to format the hard drive, but the message came " no hard drive found". i checked the bios also, there also its not showing any hdd. So do i assume that my hdd has gone or there is any other reason bcos of which its happening?
Re: no hdd found message
Hi manish. k,
I'd like to help you. Based on your post there might be a few reasons why you got the message" Disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter"
1) The boot sequence is incorrect.
2)Check the power cable of the hard drive is properly connected?
3) The damaged hard drive.
I have found a useful article from the WD Support website which is similar to the issue you are facing.
There is another article which looks useful too, you may visit this link below as well, which explains more about the "DISK BOOT FAILURE". (wdc.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/351)
