indian languages in android

I am not able to open any indian language messages of whatspp in my samsung S2 SGH-1727bought from USA.

I had downloaded the fonts from playstore and installed.

installed opera mini.however could not open "config" option,so as to change necessary setting(this was a suggestion on googling)

downloaded peacock browser.

all these things not helped.

can anybody suggest some work around or apps to enable usage of indian langauages like "malayalam"
tried adding languages from:
Android Settings -> Language and Input -> Language -> Google Keyboard -> Input Language -> Use System Language.

also not worked as there was no indian language.

any other work around

Have you tried downloading Google Hindi Input which is an Indic IME which allows you to type messages, update on social networks or compose emails in Hindi on your Android phone. If you can read नमस्ते correctly on your phone, then you may install and use Google Hindi Input, otherwise your phone may not support Devanagari script.

Also try to first install Devanagari Font Installer and check if that helps.
