Will Windows 8.1 final will be released for Tablets as well

I am using Windows 8.1 on my Dell Latitude (updated recently), also have a Surface Pro still running with Windows 8. I didn't updated it yet to 8.1 Preview because i already tested it on my laptop. Now i read the following Windows 8.1 Final version will be available from October 17th here. Thats a good news that we are near to get final edition of 8.1 but what i am concern is will it be released also for the Tablets? Or only PCs and Laptops will receive the update? Wanted to know just for a general knowledge. Thanks for helps.

If Tablet users are able to install Windows 8.1 Preview then ofcourse they will also get the Win 8.1 Final update on their tablets. By saying this i mean only the tablets that are running Win8 and updated to 8.1 preview will get this. Not other tablets where you cannot install win 8 as well.

All tablets running Windows 8 (no matter they updated to Windows 8.1 preview or not) will receive Windows 8.1 Final through Windows Updates on or after October 17th. This is an update for all existing Windows 8 users and will be available without any cost.

Hey guys I have a question here. I am having a Surface pro running with Windows 8. Didn’t updated it to 8.1 because I already tested 8.1 Preview on my desktop.

What I want to know is how much space does 8.1 require when I update it in my Surface? Because as of now I am having 19 to 20GB of Space left on my tablet. Will it (final version) be installed?

I guess Surface comes with 32bit OS and Surface Pro with 64bit os, right? If you are using Surface Pro than it will require complete 20GB hard disk space to install Windows 8.1 Final edition. As you say yours having 19 to 20GB, I doubt if you can run it properly. Even if yours is 32bit and you installed 8.1 with 17GB consumption, still it may not perform well with just 2 GB space left. You might need to free up the space.

Damn, that sounds bit trouble as my Surface Pro has 28GB in total space. So you mean I need to empty up everything so that I can have 8.1? Well, lets see.
