MSI CX480 windows 8 driver

I have MSI CX480 notebook and I am running windows 7 on the same. However, I am willing to install windows 8 on it now but it seems as if MSI haven’t come up with windows 8 drives for MSI CX480 yet. I have tried digging the web but no luck yet. Is there anyone who has installed windows 8 on MSI CX480 with all the required drivers or can point me to a site form where I can download it???? If yes then please let me know, any help regarding this will be appreciated, thanks in advance.

I have just checked out MSI site and have found your MSI CX480 to be listed as Non-Upgradeable. So I guess you won’t be able to get any windows 8 driver from MSI site. These all models are Non-Upgradeable to windows 8:

There is no point in upgrading to windows 8 if there are no updated drivers for your system. You might be able to install windows 8on your system without any issue but missing drivers can be a nightmare. I have come across many people who had upgraded to windows 8 without checking availability of windows 8 compatible driver for their system. Later they were running in to many issues where their webcam drivers were missing, ether net drivers were missing etc. At the end of the day they had to revert back to windows 7. So make sure that you are not repeating the same thing, upgrading to windows 8 without updated drivers for your hardware will be just a big mess.

Yes I am aware of those cases, one of my friends had recently upgraded his system to windows 8 and he was not able to find compatible drivers. That’s the reason I started looking for compatible drivers before installing it on my notebook. I don’t want to run in to similar situations. however I will like to know if there might be any possibilities of downloading and installing windows 8 compatible driver for MSI CX480.

Hey you can check out windows 8 drivers of CX61 0ND, some people have mentioned that CX61 0ND below drivers are compatible with MSI CX480:
Audio
Chipset
Card Reader
HD Graphics
nVidia
LAN
Touchpad
Intel RST
WLAN
USB3
These are basic drivers required for a notebook to work, so in case you want to give it a try you can go ahead with these drivers. Just make sure that you are downloading these drivers form MSI official site and no third party site.

Let it be, I have changed my mind I don’t want to install windows 8 on my Notebook now. I don’t want to take any risk and I don’t want to waste much time in all these things as well. Actually I have installed windows 8 in my home system last week and was quite impressed with the same and that’s the reason I was willing to install it on my Notebook as well.
