What is the difference between Micromax A90 and A100

Micromax launched two new Android based smartphones under the category of Superfone. The two superfones that are launched are Micromax A90 and Micromax A100. These two smartphones are among those few phones which come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich built in it. Also considering the price, I think these two phones are one of the best smartphones available in Indian market at current times. Many people must have read the reviews and specifications of Micromax A90 and Micromax A100, but many people want to know what the differences between these two phones are. Physically the size can be noticed, after using them for few minutes one might even notice certain differences. But I would like to tell you what exactly is different among these two smartphones.

    • The first thing we will notice is that the size of these two smartphones is very much different. Micromax A90 is smaller in size as compared to Micromax A100. The screen size of Micromax A90 is of 4.3 inches while that of Micromax A100 is of 5 inches. Not just this, but even the quality of the display used in both the smartphones is different. Micromax A100 has capacitive touch screen while Micromax A90 has AMOLED based display with multi touch. The resolution of the screen of Micromax A90 is 480 X 800 while that for Micromax A100 is 480 X 854.
    • The second difference is that of processor. Micromax A100 had dual core processor which can run with frequency of 1 GHz. As compared to it, Micromax A90 has single core processor of frequency of 1 GHz. With combination of 512 MB of RAM in both the smartphones, I think they will be great for running various apps and multi-tasking.
    • Another big difference that comes between these two smartphones is that of the camera. Micromax A90 features an 8 megapixel camera in the rear side which can give images resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. Similarly, Micromax A100 has a 5 megapixel camera in rear which can shoot images of resolution 2592 x 1944 pixels. Both the phones have a VGA camera in the front.
    • Micromax A100 features a lion 2000 mAh battery which can provide up to 5 hours of talk time and 180 hours of standby time. As compared to it, Micromax A90 gives 5 hours of talk time with its lion 1600 mAh battery and 174 hours of standby time.
    • Micromax A100 is priced at Rs. 9999 in Indian market while Micromax A90 is priced at Rs. 12999 in Indian market.

I think at such a reasonable price, Micromax is giving a great amount of features in its smartphones. If anyone has been waiting to own a good smartphone but finding it expensive to purchase, I think Micromax A100 and Micromax A90 are the two smartphones which will satisfy your needs. I would like to thank Micromax to bringing out such good smartphones in market at such a reasonable prices.

I am happy that Micromax took initiative in bringing a high end smartphone at a reasonable price. I am a middle class person and affording the smartphones of similar specifications from other brands like Samsung, HTC or Sony is very expensive. They are unaffordable and buying them becomes next to impossible. But now with Micromax A90 or A100, we too can enjoy the same features that are available in high end smartphones.
