Error 80004005 while updating firmware in lumia 710

I have bought Nokia 710, it has been just a week and it is working quite well but I am getting Error 80004005 while updating its firmware. I have been trying to update its firmware via zune, the updating process starts fine but then after sometime it ends giving error code: 80004005. I have tried updating it several times but I am getting the same error message again and again, any ideas what might be wrong?

Can you just let me know your phones current OS version, Firmware version so that I can have better idea of issue you are going through? In the mean while you can try resetting your phone and try to update its firmware and see if that’s helping. I am not sure if that will help but you can give it a try in such case.

I have tried resetting the phone but that’s making no difference, my friend is having the same phone and he did not had any issue in updating its software. I have tried updating my phone software by connecting it to different pc’s but I am getting same error code at the end. Just wanted to know if there is anything other information that you need for helping me out??

Hey I have found that firmware update is available for Nokia lumia having different product code and operator, it is not available for all models. Just for e.g. here in India Australia710 firmware update is available for the below phones having below product code and operator:

• OPERATOR – DEVICE - PRODUCT CODE – STATUS
• Country Variant - Lumia 710 - 059N6Q5- Update available
• Country Variant - Lumia 710 - 059N6Q6- Update available
• Country Variant - Lumia 710 - 059N6R1- Update available
• Crazy John's- Lumia 710 - 059N831- Update available
• Optus- Lumia 710 - 059N7B8 - Update available

You can check out these things on Nokia’s official site. For checking out Product Code check out under the battery, there will be a line of code where first 7 characters will be your phones Product Code.

I am from India and I have just now checked out the same thing for this country, they have listed the below table:



Check out the fourth row of the table, it doesn’t say anything for product code there, I also wanted to add that me and my friend had bought lumia 710 from the same store with one week difference, as I have mentioned he did not had any issue in updating his phones firmware. I have tried updating my phones firmware using his pc as well but no luck yet.

Ok, in that case I will suggest you to better contact the nearest Nokia care center and find out what they have to say about the same. They might be well aware of the issue and might help you out accordingly. If your phone is under warranty then they will update its firmware for you without any cost. I think that will be a better idea, since you are not getting any luck with the solution you have tried let them crack their head, best of luck post back when your phone’s firmware gets upated.
