how to install android on Nokia N900

Hi guys..can you suggest me how can I install android on Nokia N900 mobile which already have Maemo 5 os by default. I need easy steps and the softwares to install in N900. Also, some new tips and tricks which was not discussed before on any of the threads.

Also, how can I change from landscape to portrait mode like all other normal mobiles.

New to Maemo...so trying to find how things work easier !!

Well, you will need to first connect your mobile phone to internet either via a internet data plan or wifi and then insert a micro sd card as well. After that go to App manager and enable all repositories. After that install rootsh and Leafpad from the App manager. After that open x-terminal and type
root
apt-get update
apt-get install nitdroid-installer
And then confirm with "y" 2 times.
Close x-terminal when packages is installed.
After nitdroid is installed on your mobile phone, simply launch it and then follow the instructions given in it to install android 2.3 gingerbread.

Note that you wont be able to call on your cell phone with android installed. Only sms can be sent and received on your mobile phone.

It's really bad to know that we can't make any calls!!!

Anyway, may I know the steps for Meego pls

There is a complete guide given on the official site on how to install Meego on Nokia n900, that you can refer from this link. However, note that you should have the PR1.3 firmware installed on your n900 to dual boot meego with its maemo operating system. Hope that helps you out.
