ICS update for Sony Xperia U ?

Hi all. Am using Sony Xperia U since its release which is still running on Android Gingerbread. Now whenever i o to Google Play store and want to download some interesting apps, it says me that the app is not compatible with my device. There are 100s of such apps and games i want on my device but are not compatible. All these requires ICS or higher. Now a days almost every android devices are releasing with ICS or JB but Xperia U is still stuck on GB. Do you guys have any idea when is it going to get ICS update ? Or is it going to remain on the same Gingerbread

Well as of now there is no sign for Ice Cream Sandwich update for Sony Xperia U. in fact I don’t think this handset is going to get ICS so soon. I would like to make you know that Sony mobile has officially launched a minor software update for Xperia U devices. As the device was running on Android 2.3 as of now, they have launched Android 2.3.7 officially today,. If you will check for update through OTA, you will get his update.

So, if you want, you can atleast update the device to this version until there is any major update.
