Will HTC EVO 4G LTE get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

I have bought HTC EVO 4G LTE recently that is running on Android OS, v4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Like the questions itself says I want to know if HTC EVO 4G LTE will get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update or not?? I also wanted to know which are the phones that will be getting ota update of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean? Help regarding this will be highly appreciated.

I think it will but I am not sure about the same, it won’t be getting it via ota update for now but you might get a patch version of it somewhere. I won’t suggest you to use patch version of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. As far as I am aware Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S devices will be getting Android 4.1 Jelly Bean via ota update for now followed by the other phones later.

I have checked regarding the same and have found that the below phones are ahead in the list for getting Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update. So people having anyone of them get good news earlier or later.
    • Samsung Galaxy Nexus
    • Samsung Galaxy S II – (Galaxy S II, Epic 4G Touch)
    • Samsung Galaxy S III
    • Samsung Nexus S (Nexus S 4G)
    • Samsung Galaxy Note
    • HTC Amaze 4G
    • HTC Droid Incredible 2
    • HTC EVO 3D
    • HTC EVO 4G LTE
    • HTC One S
    • HTC One X
    • HTC Rezound
    • HTC Sensation 4G
    • HTC ThunderBolt
    • LG G2x
    • Motorola Atrix 4G
    • Motorola Atrix 2
    • Motorola Droid 4
    • Motorola Droid Bionic
    • Motorola Droid RAZR
    • Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX

This is not a confirmed list or a official list but as I have mentioned they are leading on the race of getting Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update.

Re: Will HTC EVO 4G LTE get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

Galaxy Nexus is the first phone that will be getting Android 4.1 Jelly Bean over the air followed by Nexus S and then others. I think that all the latest smartphones having ice cream sandwich 4.0 or above will get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update sooner or later. I am sure about this because there are only about 7 percent of users who are using Ice Cream Sandwich. I really don’t think that it will take much time for them to come up with a Jelly Bean update for other phones. I am not sharing any list of phones here as no other phones have been mentioned by google yet except Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S. We can expect a confirmed list sooner till then we can just have a hope.
