Ram upgrading suggestion for msi u135dx

I own msi u135dx laptop and I have been using it from a long time. I hardly had any issue with it and it is working fine by now. Anyways I am willing to upgrade the ram of it, I don’t have much idea about the same so I just wanted to know which ram will be best in my case. I want to get 2 gb ram the specification of my laptop are is as followed:
    • CPU- Intel Atom N550 processor (1.5GHz)
    • OS - Genuine Windows 7 Starter
    • Chipset- Intel NM10
    • Memory - DDR3, Max: 2GB
    • LCD Size-10” (1024 x 600) WSVGA LED
    • Graphics -Intel GMA 3150 Graphics VRAM share with system memory
    • HDD (GB) -2.5" 160 GB or above SATA

Any suggestions regarding this will be appreciative.

There are a lot of options out there but I will suggest you to get one from Zion, I have been using from the same and it just works great. I have not faced any issues with it even though I have been using it for 8 months. You can through technical specification of the ram below:
    Connectivity:
    • Compatible Slots - SO-DIMM 200-PIn
    • Supply Voltage -1.5V
    • Technology:
    • Form Factor -SO-DIMM 200-PIn
    • Memory Technology -DDR3 SDRAM
    • Type -DRAM
    • Special Features -Unbuffered
    • Data Integrity Check -Non-ECC
    • Latency Timings -CL7
    • Memory Speed -1066 MHz

When it is about ram I prefer Kingston, I think Kingston rams are just the best ones. You can get “Kingston 2GB DDR2 800Mhz Kvr800D2So/2Gr So-Dimm Laptop Memory” I think that will be the best option for you. As far as specification is concerned it delivers the same things rather than Memory Speed but I will still prefer Kingston.

Transcend 2GB DDR3 1333Mhz seems to be better amongst the ones that have been mentioned here. With this Data I/O transactions is possible on both edges of DQS, you can go through other feature of it as well:
    • RoHS compliant.
    • JEDEC standard 1.5V ± 0.075V Power supply
    • VDDQ=1.5V ± 0.075V
    • Clock Freq: 667MHZ for 1333Mb/s/Pin.
    • Programmable CAS Latency: 6, 7, 8, 9
    • Programmable Additive Latency (Posted /CAS): 0, CL-2 or CL-1 clock
    • Programmable /CAS Write Latency (CWL) = 9
    • Bi-directional Differential Data-Strobe
    • Internal calibration through ZQ pin
    • On Die Termination with ODT pin
    • Serial presence detect with EEPROM
    • Asynchronous reset

Re: Ram upgrading suggestion for msi u135dx

You can check out the ones that have been mentioned above but what I am saying here is that you can also get 1 gb ddr3 ram and use the same with the one you are having, I mean 2 x 1 gb ddr3 ram you don’t need to go for some other model and you can simply get other one of the same make and model. I think that will be a smarted idea as you won’t be wasting your other 1 gb ram. If you are thinking of using 2 GB ram over 1 gb then I will like to inform you that won’t work. According to the specification that you yourself have posted you can just upgrade to 2 GB ram and you either have the option of using 2 x 1 gb ddr3 ram or 1 x 2gb ddr3 ram.
