Microsoft Surface Tablet Release Date in India, Price and Specifications

Hey friends I have heard that Microsoft is coming up with its Surface Tablet. So I just wanted to know its specification, feature, price along with the Release Date of it In India. Is there anyone who is aware of all these by now and can help me out with it??? I am not sure but I have heard that there will be discount for students, is it so???

Yes Microsoft has unveiled a line of Surface tablets, the release date and price of the same has not been announced yet. Sources say that they will be measuring 10.6-inches in size with Gorilla Glass 2 display. They have showed two of them where one will be running Windows RT with an ARM processor where as the other one will be running Windows 8 Pro with an Intel processor. The Windows RT is said to be the "Metro-only" version of Windows 8 and on the other hand Windows 8 Pro will be featuring desktop look of Windows having Start bar and home screen icons. Their back cover is foldable and one can fold it under the tablet, the front cover will be acting as a QWERTY keyboard as well. It will get attached to the tablet magnetically. The back cover will be available in different colors like black, blue and pink etc. They will be having rear webcams and dual microphones for playing videos, games and music. They will be having microSD card as well as USB port. The battery life has been mentioned as improved so we can hope for the best.

As far as the price is concerned it is expected to be costing around 25-30K and is expected to release in second half of 2012, There has not been any news regarding discount for students and I think that you have just hear another rumor. Finally Microsoft has announced the release date of their Surface tablets as well. In a press release Microsoft announced that they will Launch Surface Tabs on 26th October along with the launch of their new operating system Windows 8. According to the reports, Surface Tablets will come in 2 different variants including ARM and Intel x86 named Pro verison.
