white lines appear on screen of samsung galaxy s2

i have bought a new galaxy s2 and i am facing an awkward problem with it.
when during screen lock mode i click my home button or power button to wake up the phone some white lines appears of less than a quarter of a sec and is only visible in extreme dark areas,
and also the second thing is the dimming option in the secret phone code mode is not working properly when i click the dimming it shows green red and blue colors but the brightness of the screen not changes when i touch them....
please help me...
My galaxy s2 is running on factory equipped android 4.0.3 (ICS)....

The white line on the samsung galaxy s2 is normal since it is used to divide the screen into 2 side to show you things that you wish to see, so dont worry about same. And for the dimming problem, can you try to switch off phone and then after restarting i select auto brightness or try all power saving options to rectify the issue.

oh yes i tried auto brightness and the dimming came into play ..
thanks for the suggestion....

and one more little thing when i copy any text from clipboard to text message it automatically converts into multimedia message how to stop that conversion...

There is an application called Handcent, just download it on your mobile phone and install it and then go into its setting >> send message settings >> and uncheck auto convert. After that in the stock app settings you have to uncheck notifications and this will allow only hancent notification in the taskbar.
