tracing an ipad

Hi Guys,

Is there any way to trace the location of an Ipad that is being used lets say if it had been stolen? Any advice will be appreciated.

I think that with the inbuilt MobileMe app, you can track or trace the ipad, whether it is lost or stolen. All apple ipad devices comes with this little tool pre-installed. But an internet connection is required in order to use this option in the app. MobileMe app has a feature called Find My iPad that comes with its subscription.

However i don't seem to have this application on my Ipad 2 as per-installed. Even searched for it on the Apple Store but cant seem find it. Any other suggestions?

Well, you have to set up MobileMe app in your ipad by following the below method:

1. You have to tap Settings on your iPad home screen
2. after that tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars and check that Fetch New Data is set to Push
3. Next you have to tap Add Account, choose MobileMe, and enter your account information
4. In the end just tap Next and turn on Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Bookmarks, and Find My iPad. Tap Save.
