I agree with you on this, well I never used it but I don’t like to have the dedicated multitasking. I will prefer the menu rather. The long press of the home button is what I actually like. I had never used the search button. Not using the home button that much either. I don’t understand why do we required to access that screen so much. |

Multiple uses on the one button is the very great thought that the HTC have every made, well now it feels that there is no need for that but in the coming future this will be very handy. With that been said , I suggest that you install the AOKP in the phone which may be helpful for you to assign multiple functions. |
