Can i install Windows 7 32 bit on Dell Inspiron 2650

he guys, i need a small suggestion from you all. I have recently bought a Dell Inspiron 2650 from one of my friend. It is actually second hand system. Actually i bought it for my nephew so that he can use it for his educational purpose. Anyways, what i need to know here is that is it possible to install Windows 7 in this laptop ?

Note that it has the Intel Pentium 4 , with Festplatte hard disk = 30 GB and RAM = 512 MB . The reason I am asking this is because I have found the article that said that Dell does not support Vista or Win 7 on the model that I bit older , I was thinking that it will be hard to find the hardware drivers for Win 7 and the old Pentium III CPU is another issue.

I am not sure that I will mess with this laptop until I get the proper answer to this, so I request you people here, does anyone here has any knowledge about this ? I will be appreciate that ………… thanks in advance .

I m a not sure that windows 7 is going to work in this system, the fact that the RAM you have is just the 512 MB and according to me would not be enough for running the operating system like the Windows Vista as well as the Windows 7 . Memory is too low for Windows 7 , you need atleast 1GB or recommended 2GB of RAM. And if we just ignore the RAM I say maybe the 30 GB Hard Disc will give you about 6 GB of storage. That is not worth.

Hence the bottom line is I am not sure that it will meet minimum requirements. So If you can able to upgrade the RAM to 2 GB then with the help of the external storage drive you can perhaps able to run the Windows Vista and the Windows 7.
