Performance Comparison between Tegra 3 and A5/AX Mobile CPU

Hello friends, I would like to know that which is best processor to be used in a phone, such that if I am purchasing a phone just with the reference of the CPU of phone then for which one I should go, which is having a better performance among all of them? I planning to get a phone which is having good processor in it, so did some of the research regarding that and founded Tegra 3 and A5/AX both them are the best among themselves.

The dual-core processors Tegra 2 and quad-core Tegra 3 is the first super mobile processors in the world to provide unparalleled performance on a wide range of mobile devices. Enjoy extreme multitasking capabilities! Experience the best web experience, with navigation up to twice as fast and hardware acceleration of Flash. Play console quality games thanks to GeForce ULP (Ultra Low Power). Not to mention HD video capabilities never before seen on a mobile processor. Quad-core processor "4-PLUS-1” with a fifth heart to energy saving Four plus one, or four CPU cores Tegra 3, accompanied by one fifth of heart at low CPU consumption. Variable SMP architecture lets you use the four main cores for maximum performance when you need it. Each heart is handled automatically and independently according to the resources required.

The fifth heart, said "companion", was specially designed for tasks requiring little power as the active standby mode or playback music files and content video. It is fully integrated with the operating system and applications. DirectTouch, this architecture, patent pending, improves the responsiveness of touch controls and reduce consumption by transferring to the application processor Tegra 3 all requests typically managed by the controllers touch. 3D game - Enjoy the award winning NVIDIA 3D Vision to convert auto-matiqueent and real-time 3D games and OpenGL applications. Display Technology NVIDIA PRISM technology ("Pixel Rendering Management Intensity and Saturation", or management intensity and saturation rendering pixels) reduces the display backlight and optimize color pixels to ensure the same quality graphics while preserving the battery life.

NVidia Tegra 3 is one of the first mobile processor (mobile phone and tablet) four cores, but is actually five. That fifth nucleus, called Companion core, is the main protagonist of vSMP technology, Variable Symmetric Multiprocessing. Their mission is simple on paper: organize and manage the work of the other four cores, "disconnecting" when necessary to save energy. The Companion core may even be the only one in operation. The manufacturer states that have implemented some very low-level mechanisms that allows NVidia Tegra 3 managing multi-core applications. The Android 3.0 and above itself, in fact, is consistent with the parallel, albeit with some nuances that are the NVidia has undertaken to improve a lower level. Well as it is seen how it actually works because parallelism issues have not yet achieved major milestones, except for certain algorithms that are widely parallelizable. Typically, some software may parallelize, but this is not an easy task and often not even worth it.

The ARM Cortex-A5 has between 1 and 4 cores, each running at a frequency of 1 GHz. The introduction of multi-core execution speed allow 3 times higher than the old ARM 9, which already has 8 years of existence but still marketed in the low cost segment. On the other hand, the Cortex-A5 incorporates TrustZone security technology, typical of ARM, and a media processing engine called Neon. This new processor is compatible with the Cortex-A8 and A9, which means an immediate support and developers who are working with Android, Adobe Flash, Java, JavaFX, Linux, Windows Embedded, Symbian or Ubuntu. In this sense, Lanier confirmed that "both developers and manufacturers are facing a great opportunity to do business with the new chip."

I would like to tell about the Tegra 3 chip, such that according to NVIDIA, the processor provides 5 times more performance than its predecessor, the NVIDIA Tegra chip 2, which was established on the basis of most of the Android tablets that were released this year. It also has 3 times better graphics performance with support for advanced effects such as dynamic lighting and shadows. Despite the fact that the new chip is one of the most powerful ARM-processor at the moment, it consumes less power than previous chips NVIDIATegra 2. For example, Eee Pad Transformer Prime has a battery life of about 12 hours and this without using an additional battery, located in its docking station.
