Re: Unable to copy and format Sandisk Cruzer Blade 8GB

Ok I would like to suggest you to go through the below steps and after that let me know:
First open start menu and after that type: REGEDIT in search bar and then make click on ok button. Now on the result make double click on windows registry editor and under that go to the below path:
Code:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies
Now if you won’t get the StorageDevicePolicies then you should create StorageDevicePolicies manually. Now here create new DWORD (32 bit) and type name as WriteProtect. Now make double click on WriteProtect and after that set the value 0 (zero). Once you done save the setting and reboot the system for best result.

If you still getting the same issue then I think you have to run the following command as a fix for your issue. Open command prompt (press Ctrl + R and after that type: CMD and then click on ok button). Now on the command prompt type the below command to solve your issue (hit enter after every command):
Code:
Diskpart
list disk
select disk # (# is the number of the USB HDD you’ve pluged in)
attributes disk clear readonly
once you done just go through your issue..

I think you should check your permissions of the disk, if your Drive read-only then you should try take ownership of the disk. You can edit the ownership of the disk from below steps:
1) Right click the drive.
2) Go to Security tab.
3) Choose the current user.
4) Click Edit and check the Allow box of Full control.
5) Click Apply and OK.
Now once you done your issue will get solved and now you can copy and format.

You may also get this issue due to the virus and so therefore its necessary to scan your drive with good and updated antivirus on your system. If you don’t have installed the any antivirus, then I would like to suggest you to install good antivirus like Kaspersky, AVG, MSI and Norton. This will help you to remove virus if your drive infected by the virus…

If you want to format your Sandisk Cruzer Blade then you can go through the below steps and to do open run application by pressing Ctrl + R and after that type: diskmgmt.msc then click on ok button. Now you will get the disk management window and after that select the Sandisk Cruzer Blade, right click on it and choose Format. Now once you’re completed your issue will get solved. Re: Unable to copy and format Sandisk Cruzer Blade 8GB

You won't have a "format" option if the disk is write protected. I tried use other software to "Wipe" the whole thing. After 10 hours of wait, those files still there and safely protected. It will be the best way to protect ur ex's photos. GOD DAMN SANDISK !!!!!!
