Does Blackberry Tour 9630 compatible for OS 6 upgrade

Right now I am using blackberry tour 9630 which is quite old. The BB already came with its new OS and that BB OS 6. I would like to upgrade my phone to this version but before that I wanna know if it is compatible?

I don’t think that the Blackberry tour is compatible with OS 6.0. As far as I know that this new version OS is mainly built for Blacberry’s with touch screens and trackpad but not for trackballs. So Bold 9650 will be getting 6.0 but no way can that Tour get it.

I don’t know anything about the V6.0 update for BB tour 9630. The only thing I know that I had received the v5 on the Tour. The Tour 9630 update is from sprint and OS is running stable. So far it meets all my requirements. So with this update you hope not look toward the new OS. I don’t know if the new OS looks cool on tour because I have seen it only on touch screen phone. Right now I like the phone the way it is and I don’t need any kind of update for it. I will only update if it is particularly released for this phone only.

I'm not sure what made Verizon to release these updates, hopefully that will be the deployment of the OS 6 for the BlackBerry Bold 9650 and Blackberry Curve 9330 soon You can pick up the changes very soon. If Verizon is your carrier just use the number of phone 111-111-1111 to download. If you want to make the upgrade, it is available OTA and even seems to work for some users of BES.

Yes, I also tell you the same. This is only for advanced users. Please do not go through it, if you do not know what you are doing. Yesterday I had got too many e-mails from people asking how to install hybrid, why BBerry got brick, and other sorts of trouble. So I ask you once again for doing this only if you know what you are doing and at your own risk. These are hybrid versions of the OS BlackBerry OS 6.0 and 5.0 with some files mixed. This is 6.0.0.31 for the BlackBerry Tour 9630 and Bold 9650. If you are one of those smart people who know Berry what you're doing, let us know about your experience with the operating system.

Actually there is a contradiction if you are looking for to upgrade the BB tour 9630 to OS. The thing is this current OS is not support in all devices and that seems really stupid. So far the OS6 is only compatible in those which has 512MB. If they would have released to 256MB devices, then I don’t think that it could have run properly.
