I made a back up of files on my Blackberry 9800 and it changed my PIN

As I have purchased the Blackberry 9800 some one month ago and after some as I pressed the restore contact list button on the new phone. After this , I was with all the contacts and the pin number from an old blackberry phone. as a result now both together my old phone as well as new phone have the same PIN and I have all her contacts. So are there any solutions in this case . please advise.

So I understood your case and in this case are you logging in using the old phones account? Your device PIN is unique and I may say that you are not able to change. You need to move in the options and then to the Device and finally to the Device Status will show you that your BB has a new PIN.

I have simple solution which will work in your case and to add further to this topic, I went to the BBMessenger which you will find under options, and then, you need to click the RESTORE button and the screen went white, then I had the PIN along with all of the contacts. And the PIN changed really on my phone. I am now with a new PIN.

Guys, I am with New BlackBerry and with new PIN. The PIN of every BlackBerry is unique as well as hard-coded into the device at the factory. You are not able to change the PIN on a BlackBerry, but if you get a latest BlackBerry it will have a different PIN than your older one.
