Sony Vaio Z 1080p vs 900p Display panels

I have done my research and found some hard data on the two Sony Vaio Z screens and compared it with other high end laptop LCDs. I would like to share my opinion. I am evaluating both TN and IPS. I have never seen color coverage of the 900p expressed. The 900p exceeds the sRGB space but falls behind the Vaio Z's 1080p. sRGB occupies 70% of the Adobe 1998 RGB, but exaggerates the difference in 2 scale color representation. Together color space is equally superb but with different aspects. The Sony Z1 and Z2 include TN panels. I doubt that difference is detectable by naked eye

As far as I know that the 1080p screen can be noticeable due to its ve excellent colors over the 900p screen. You will obviously see better resolution in 1080p screen than 900p. However if you have not seen the 1080p before, for you the 900p looks awesome.

The Vaio screen is an important asset, offering an expanded color space for a beautiful color reproduction while adopting an anti-reflective coating valuable asset for a machine that is intended for outdoor use and more generally in light environment, as it is less prone to glare in these conditions a glossy and therefore more readable. In addition, its resolution of 1600 × 900 is more comfortable than the standard 1366 × 768 on 13 inch.

I assume that resolution of those laptops are 1600/900, but the site of Sony in the characteristic corresponding to my computer it says "WXGA + + (1600 x 900)" and "Maximum resolution on external display 1920 x 1200" but this last is not even proposed in the resolution setting the maximum proposed for the external display is 1600/900 (my external display is a Sony KDL46EX500 that displays the 1920/1080)

In my opinion, you can see the difference almost never justified and rarely twice the space consumption. With image sizes of 37-42 inches and from 3m distance should also not be able to discover what. For larger diagonals or even projectors can be compared directly, especially in fast scenes are differences.

The truth is that for the human eye, these differences that the seller told you are not so overwhelming. And more than 1080i, 720p prefer the latter as this is progressive. So really the debate would be, 900p, or 1080p, and I will answer, if you're going to see many movies on bluray, and television is 42 ", the 1080 Pillate. If, however, you will not see movies in bluray, only Freeview and DVD, a HDready Pillate (720p), because you will not notice difference between the two. The full HD usually has a high enough price difference to the HDReady, and I do not see at least such a difference justified.

When I compared 2 screens I didn’t even see a close comparison for a Yellows and Blues. So it can be immediately noticeable when you look at the blue headers and yellow windows folders. I am also looking forward to get a 1080p screen but I assume that 900p screen will server me beter for games at native resolution.
